Job summary

Salem Health Orthopedics is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Technologist to join the full-time clinic team in Salem. You will apply, remove, and assess casts and immobilization devices, working closely with orthopedic surgeons and clinicians to determine the best options for each patient.

You will educate patients and families on orthotic devices, maintain a clean cast room, and ensure accurate documentation and inventory control to support safe, efficient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Registered Orthopedic Technologist or Orthopedic Technologist Certified.
• Minimum of two years in a medical facility or a medical office.

Responsibilities

• Apply, remove and assess casts, braces and immobilization devices.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff on patient needs and immobilization options.
• Coordinate cast room procedures, training and continuing education for clinic staff.
• Educate patients and families on orthotic devices and home care.
• Maintain a clean, safe cast room and accurate documentation of patient encounters.
• Manage clinic supplies and medications; receive, store, stock and distribute items.
• Monitor inventory and par levels and order supplies for materials.
