Job summary

Shriners Portland is seeking a full-time Cast Tech to assist with casts, traction, and related devices in the outpatient clinic. You will prepare patients, support the surgeon, and ensure accurate communications with families and the care team.

Responsibilities include applying/removing casts, maintaining devices, and supporting patient care in a fast-paced orthopedic unit. Relevant certifications are required or preferred, including BLS and Orthopedic Cast Technician training.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Completion of Orthopedic Cast Technician Program.
• Preferred: Certificate Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care within Orthopedic Technician scope.
• Performs casting and traction under supervision of surgeon.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team.
