Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma minimum.
• Orthopedic Technician Certification from the National Board for Certification on Orthopedic Technicians preferred.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the care of patients by fitting and applying pre-operative braces, crutches, other soft goods, and preparing patients for all testing procedures.
• Prepare and apply casts and orthopedic appliances.
• Assisting with orthopedic procedures, including wound care, aspirations, minor surgical procedures, and fracture reductions.
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and visitors, including sterilizing and storing instruments.
• Complete patient routing slips and charge tickets with CPT and ICD codes accurately.
• Complies with PPE requirements and radiation safety guidelines.
• Inventory, order, and maintain all departmental supplies at defined inventory levels.
• Demonstrates professionalism and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
