Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to support practitioners in caring for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. The role primarily operates in clinic locations with occasional hospital assignments, located in Glendale, AZ.

Shifts are Mon-Fri, Days, 8am-5pm, and the position is PRN. You will apply and remove casts, change dressings, and document actions in the patient's electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Applies and removes casts, changes dressings, and removes sutures/staples as directed by the presiding practitioner. Documents actions in the EMR.
• Assists with application, adjustment and removal of splints, slings and other orthopedic DME.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Oversees orthopedic material stock levels and places orders to replenish supplies as needed.
• Supports routine clinic care functions, including patient intake, discharge, and care follow-up.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
