Job summary

The Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group (PBHN), operating as Tenet Florida Physician Services, is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to assist physicians with fixation procedures and comprehensive post-operative care, including wound care, casting, and patient education. You will support traction devices, crutch fitting, and brace adjustments while ordering X-rays and assisting in assessments.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in a medical setting, at least 2 years as an orthopedic

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a medical setting preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience as an Orthopedic Technician.
• Certification by NB Orthopedic Technologists preferred.
• EMR/EHR experience with NextGen or Athena preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with post-operative care, wound checks, casting, and dressings.
• Aid in traction devices, crutches, braces, and patient preparation for procedures.
• Assist with injections, order x-rays, sterilize equipment, and document patient conditions.
• Engage in patient education on pin care, infection prevention, and lengthening schedules.
• Set up and monitor CPM device post-operatively.
• Apply and monitor post-operative corrective casts and devices.
