Job summary

The CORE Institute’s Northern Arizona Orthopedics is seeking an Orthopedic Technician to support clinicians across multiple locations. The role includes casting, DME management, patient instruction, and daily inventory control in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, training in orthopedics or medical assisting, and EMR experience. On-site work with occasional travel within the network is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Technician training program or Medical Assistant program, or at least one year of related experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems and basic office equipment (fax/copy) required.

Responsibilities

• Applies and adjusts fiberglass casts and orthopedic traction devices as directed by the physician.
• Educates patients on cast care, splints and DME usage.
• Manages DME inventory and uses par levels to place orders.
• Works with the Rapid Auth Team to determine patient financial responsibility and communicates it to the patient.
