Job summary

Scripps Health is hiring for a part-time orthopedic support role primarily based at Scripps Clinic Encinitas and Scripps Medical Center Oceanside, with travel to other North County locations as needed. Required are OTC and BLS certifications, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English.
• Demonstrated patient sensitivity and a commitment to providing compassionate care.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Job description

This is a part-time position (40 hours per pay period) working varied 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday. The position is primarily based in North County at Scripps Clinic Encinitas and Scripps Medical Center Jefferson in Oceanside. Occasional travel to other Scripps Clinic locations, including Carmel Valley, may be required to support operational and staffing needs.

Team members work closely with our surgeons in the clinic, assist with procedures, and help coordinate care throughout each patient's orthopedic journey.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills

• General knowledge of casting and splint application and removal.

Required Certification/Registration

• Current OTC certification required.

• One or more years of experience in an orthopedic office or related orthopedic setting.
• Previous orthopedic technician experience.
• Experience assisting with orthopedic procedures.
