Job summary

VCU Health Chesterfield Pavilion seeks an Orthopedic Tech to support outpatient orthopedic care, including casting and wound care. The role involves patient education, assisting with casts and splints, and maintaining the cast room supplies.

Under supervision, you will follow hospital policies and contribute to efficient patient flow in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. A high school diploma or GED and BLS are required; OTC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Performs casts, splints and other DME in outpatient orthopedics.
• Provides patient/family teaching related to cast care and wound management.
• Maintains supplies in the cast room and coordinates inventory.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a licensed independent practitioner.
• Functions under policy/procedure and requires supervisor guidance for changes.
