Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a part-time registered nurse for the 7N Surgery Orthopedics unit at Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy. The role supports the nursing process and coordinates patient care for orthopedic surgical patients.

This weekend schedule features two 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays from 7am to 7pm, with a pay range of $38.20-$57.30 per hour and available sign-on/relocation bonuses for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of inpatient nursing experience preferred; 6 months required outside of New Grad residency program.
Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Apply evidence‑based practice, clinical decision‑making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
