NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital seeks a Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedics team in Brooklyn, NY. The PA will manage all aspects of care for orthopedic surgery patients, including floor management, ER consults, and first assisting in the OR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physician Assistant related studies is required.
• NYS PA Licensure is required.
• Current NCCPA Certification is required.
• ACLS/BLS certification required.
• NYS Infection Control certification required.
• Current DEA and NYS Opioid Prescribing Training Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• As an orthopedic department PA, manage all aspects of care for patients on the orthopedic surgery team, including floor management of admitted patients.
• Respond to orthopedic surgery consults in the ER.
• First assisting in the OR.
