NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital seeks a Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedics team in Brooklyn, NY. The PA will manage all aspects of care for orthopedic surgery patients, including floor management, ER consults, and first assisting in the OR.

• NYS PA Licensure is required.
• Current NCCPA Certification is required.

• Current DEA and NYS Opioid Prescribing Training Certificate required.

The Department of Orthopedics provides treatment for debilitating musculoskeletal disorders, such as sport-related injuries and degenerative diseases of the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle and hand, bone fractures, trauma, joint diseases and injuries, and spinal injuries and deformities. Our orthopedists are recognized for their operative and non-operative approaches to address sports injuries, spine disorders, degenerative joint diseases, and orthopedic trauma. They work side-by-side with rehabilitation specialists to optimize healing and recovery.

As an orthopedic department PA, you will manage all aspects of care for patients on the orthopedic surgery team, including floor management of admitted patients, responding to orthopedic surgery consults in the ER, and first assisting in the OR.

This is a full-time position covering days/nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience in surgery or orthopedics preferred. Will consider new graduates.
