Job summary

Thisiscny in Auburn, NY, seeks a Physician Assistant in orthopedic surgery to support inpatient, outpatient, and surgical teams. You will participate in rounds, coordinate care plans, and assist in the operating room under Attending supervision.

Responsibilities include patient education, documentation, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and families to manage perioperative and postoperative care. PA licensure in NY is required.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant degree required.
• Licensed or eligible to practice as a NY PA.
• Proficiency with basic computer operations.
• Intermediate word processing skills required.
• Ability to work in inpatient, outpatient and OR settings.

Responsibilities

• Complete inpatient daily rounds and document the medical plan.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and communication of plans.
• Assist in the OR as first assistant and with surgical exposure.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient education and care.
• Develop and implement plans of care under Attending supervision.
