Job summary

Prisma Health's Ortho Sports - Cross Creek 11 is seeking a qualified Physician Assistant to provide surgical assistance in the OR and selected medical services under surgeon supervision at Cross Creek Medical Campus.

The role requires NCCPA certification, PA licensure, BLS, and about 1 year of clinical experience. The position supports patient care, charting, and collaboration with the orthopedic team.

Qualifications

• NCCPA certification and current Physician Assistant licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Prescriptive Authority for the practicing state; Federal DEA license where applicable.
• Completion of Physician Assistant Surgical Residency or approved PA program may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Provides general surgical assistant services in operating room.
• Assists surgeon with prepping and completion of procedures.
• Removes drains, tubes and catheters; closes incisions.
• Assists with patient office visits and on-call coverage.
• Performs charting, summaries, and required paperwork for care and billing.
• Participates in physician education programs related to capitated medicine.
