Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a Physician's Assistant/Ortho Surgery First Assist for our Orthopedic Clinic. The PA will evaluate patients across clinic, hospital, and surgical settings, develop treatment plans, assist in surgery, and manage postoperative care to improve access and efficiency.

Requires accredited PA program graduate, NCCPA certification, GA PA license, and BLS. Prior orthopedic and first-assistant experience preferred, with Epic EMR familiarity as a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Licensed as a Physician’s Assistant in Georgia.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate orthopedic patients in clinic and hospital settings.
• Develop and implement treatment plans under supervision of surgeons.
• Assist in orthopedic surgery as a first assistant.
• Manage post-operative and follow-up care to optimize outcomes.
