Job summary

Skagit Regional Health in Mount Vernon, WA, is hiring an Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to join a busy team of eight physicians and nine PAs. The role includes outpatient clinics, inpatient rounding, and OR assistance on a campus with clinic, hospital, and ambulatory surgery center.

The position is full-time, hospital-employed with a large built-in referral base, a 4-day workweek, and shared weeknight/weekend call of 1:9.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
• 2-4 years of surgical experience is preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply!
• Active Washington State license or ability to obtain a Washington State license before start.
• Must have active BLS certification before starting or within first week of employment.
• The ideal candidate will place a priority on improving lives through compassionate and innovative healthcare and focus on building lasting relationships with their patients as well as strong ties within the community.

Responsibilities

• See patients in outpatient clinic and participate in inpatient rounding.
• Assist in inpatient and outpatient Operating Rooms.
• Collaborate with a surgical team across specialties on a campus with clinic, hospital and ASC.
