Job summary

Optimum Permanent Placement Services has partnered with a northwestern Washington facility to fill an Orthopedic Physician Assistant role. The PA will examine new patients, develop treatment plans, and interpret diagnostic tests while coordinating surgeries and assisting the surgeon with rounds.

We are seeking a board-certified PA with at least 2 years in orthopedics, proficient in Meditech EMR, for a 4-day workweek and competitive compensation including RVUs and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Physician Assistant required.
• Must hold an active PA license.
• Preferred 2+ years in orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Examine new patients and write treatment plans.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Coordinate and plan surgeries with the surgeon.
• Assist surgeon with hospital rounds.

Opening Details

• Schedule: 4-day workweek, 10-hour day shifts
• Beeper Call: 1:3 rotation
• Patient Census: 20-25 per day
• Duties: Examine new patients, write treatment plans, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, coordinate and plan surgeries, and assist surgeon with hospital rounds
• Cases: General orthopedics, joint replacement, and trauma
• Support Staff: Orthopedic surgeon
• Preferred Experience: 2+ years
• EMR: Meditech
• Must be board-certified
