Job summary

CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Ringgold, GA seeks an Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join a well-established hospital-employed group. You will deliver advanced clinical care within a regional leader recognized for patient safety and quality.

You will assess, diagnose, and manage inpatient and perioperative patients under physician supervision, perform exams, order tests, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing required.
  • 3–5 years of clinical nursing in acute care required.
  • 1–3 years as a NP in acute or primary care settings.
  • RN license in TN/GA.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Take medical histories when needed.
  • Perform physical exams within established protocol.
  • Diagnose, treat and monitor chronic diseases per protocol.
  • Order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  • Prescribe medications within protocol guidelines.
  • Educate and counsel patients to promote healthy lifestyles.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner, you will join a well-established hospital-employed group at CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Ringgold, GA. Every day you will apply your advanced clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and manage the care of patients. This involves conducting comprehensive physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless and high-quality inpatient care.To be successful in your role, you will meticulously provide direct patient care, utilizing your specialized training and skills to assess, diagnose, and manage hospitalized patients under physician supervision. You will demonstrate exceptional clinical proficiency and a compassionate approach, ensuring comprehensive care coordination and optimal patient outcomes within your scope of practice.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Master’s degree in nursing studies
  • 3-5 years clinical nursing practice in an acute care setting required.
  • 1-3 years previous experience as a NP in an acute or primary care setting or equivalent RN experience
  • Licensed as an RN in the state of TN/GA
  • American Heart Association BLS (BLS-CPR)
