Job summary

Washington University seeks an LPN for Orthopedic Surgery to provide clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will perform EKGs, phlebotomy, vital signs, and assist with procedures under physician supervision.

The role involves patient education, charting in Epic, and coordinating care across teams. BLS must be attained within one month of hire; Missouri or Illinois licensure is required.

Qualifications

• LPN diploma and Missouri/Illinois licensure required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within one month of hire.
• Recent clinical or hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between physicians and patients; coordinate follow-up and referrals.
• Explain pre-/postoperative instructions and communicate lab results.
• Maintain and document patient data in EMR (Epic).
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Support front desk and administrative duties within the physician practice.
