Job summary
Washington University in Saint Louis is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Orthopedic Surgery to coordinate patient care across the continuum and serve as a clinical resource. The role involves direct patient care, care coordination, and collaboration with physicians and the health team.
A Missouri or Illinois RN license, BLS, and two years of nursing experience are required. The position offers a full-time, on-site schedule with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits in a campus
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with two years of nursing experience.
- Current RN licensure in Missouri and/or Illinois, depending on location, per Compact Act.
- Basic Life Support Certification or obtains certification within one month of employment.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients.
- Coordinates patient care, orders diagnostic tests, and coordinates patient appointments and referrals.
- Assists physicians and provides support with examinations and procedures.
- Acts as liaison and team leader to coordinate care among patients, families and health team members.
