Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Surgical Coder to join their Surgery Coding Team. This role involves coding surgical procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes, and requires a CPC certification or equivalent. Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in Orthopedic Surgery coding, strong proficiency in MS Office programs, and the ability to handle confidential matters in a high-stress environment. The position offers a schedule from Monday to Friday, between 6am - 6:30pm EST, or 5am - 5:30pm CST.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of Orthopedic Surgery coding experience.
• CPC certification or equivalent is required.
• Proficient in MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Code surgical procedures using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
• Assign modifiers to procedures.
• Work closely with physicians on office notes for accurate coding.
• Serve as a coding consultant to providers.
