Job summary

The Fort Harrison Montana VA Medical Center is currently recruiting for a Physician Orthopedic Surgeon.

The Orthopedic Surgical team is part of the Surgical Services service line, reporting to the Associate Chief of Staff for Surgical Services. The physician will provide high-quality care, maintain licensure and participate in resident training.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible for VA appointment.
• MD or DO from an approved medical school.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
• Completed residency in an approved core specialty.
• Board certification required or eligible for faculty status consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic surgical care within approved privileges.
• Attend OR/Clinic on time and participate in outpatient clinics.
• Formulate diagnoses and order laboratory/diagnostic tests as needed.
• Maintain licensure and CME requirements; participate in resident training.
• Comply with safety, security, privacy policies and hand-off communication.
