Job summary

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join our residency program in McAllen, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to engage in direct patient care, contribute to scholarly activities, and maintain a professional educational environment.

Preferred candidates will have specialty training in Adult Reconstruction, Hand Surgery, Orthopedic Foot & Ankle, or Sports Medicine. The role includes administering training for residents and preparing for accreditation processes.

Qualifications

  • Must possess or be eligible for a Texas Medical license and be qualified to hold a faculty appointment.
  • Experience in a GME Accredited Residency or Fellowship Program.
  • Specialty training in Orthopedic Surgery areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in direct patient care and scholarly activities.
  • Prepare and provide didactics and participate in program evaluation.
  • Administer and maintain a professional educational environment for residents.
