Job summary

Mercy seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist (Ortho/Sports) to assess adults and geriatric patients and craft individualized treatment plans. You will supervise rehab staff and PT assistants under Therapy Leadership, ensuring care aligns with Mercy standards and patient advocacy.

Responsibilities include performing objective evaluations, leading therapy sessions, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to improve functional outcomes in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of practice.
• BLS certification is required and must be current.
• Six months to one year of Rehabilitation Physical Therapist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive treatment programs for adults and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and supervise rehabilitation technicians; oversee PT assistants per state laws.
• Deliver care aligned with Mercy Service Standards; collaborate with Therapy Leadership.
• Promote patient advocacy, continuity of care, and outcomes in orthopedic/sports rehabilitation.
