Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist with ortho/sports specialization to evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients at the St. Peters location. The role includes supervising staff and coordinating care under Mercy policies.

Required are a PT degree (DPT preferred), active PT licensure in the state, and BLS certification; 6–12 months of relevant rehab experience is favored. Shift coverage includes Days and Evenings in a hospital setting with strong patient advocacy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in the state of practice.
• BLS certified. Certifications must be current before caring for patients independently.
• Six months to one year of experience preferred for rehabilitation PT; experience with adult and geriatric patients desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
• Adhere to Mercy mission, values, and service standards.
