Job summary

Miami Neuroscience Institute Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate, develop, and implement plans of care for patients with orthopedic and sports-related injuries at the W Kendall Center rehab location. You will interact daily with staff, patients, and families and document outcomes in alignment with department policies.

Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, ensuring evidence-based practice, documenting progress, and coordinating discharge

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Florida licensure as Physical Therapist must be active and in good standing.
• American Heart Association BLS required and maintained.
• 1–3 years of orthopedic or sports medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary meetings related to patient care.
• Maintains and documents productivity and patient statistics.
• Records daily patient documentation, statistics, and charges accurately.
• Ensures documentation reflects evidence-based practices.
• Improves access to care for patients served.
• Performs evaluations considering patient age, diagnosis, and prognosis; provides recommendations.
• Maintains communication with patients, caregivers, and rehabilitation staff.
• Develops a plan of care with measurable goals and realistic timelines.
• Provides treatments based on findings from medical, clinical, and functional assessments.
• Prepares patient/family for discharge when maximum potential is reached.
• Follows TRAAC and prepares for discharge at evaluation.
• Provides proof of at least 1 in-service and 1 peer review.
• Maintains ongoing CEUs for licensure and clinical excellence.
