USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital in Phoenix is hiring a RN Nurse Navigator for the Pre-OP PACU department. The position handles the full care pathway for orthopedic and spine patients, coordinating actions across surgeons, anesthesiologists, PACU, and nursing staff.

This full‑time role emphasizes data collection, outcomes, and patient satisfaction throughout the care continuum. The ideal candidate will hold an AZ RN license, with BSN preferred, and 3–5 years hospital experience in

• Hold and maintain a current Arizona license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• BSN preferred; BLS is required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hospital experience, orthopedic/spine preferred.
• Must be passionate about patient education and care coordination.
• Ability to analyze data and participate in outcomes reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement the patient’s care plan through assessment of physical, educational, and psychosocial needs.
• Serve as essential liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
• Support care continuum before surgery and after discharge.
• Schedule preadmission testing and coordinate tests and clearances.
• Relay PAT results to the ordering physician and verify health history.
• Review records to ensure appropriate orders and clearances prior to surgery.
• Use nursing judgment to refer patients to a hospitalist for high‑risk cases.
• Provide preoperative instructions during prescreening and education classes.
• Facilitate follow‑up calls to promote discharge instruction adherence and care coordination.
• Participate in QAPI activities and EDGE requirements.
