Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, KS seeks an RN to join the Orthopedic unit on a full-time night shift. The role includes comprehensive patient assessments, planning and delivering care per standards, medication administration, patient and family education, and collaborative care.

Eligible candidates will hold an RN license and an Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred); BLS is required. The hospital offers strong benefits, a clinical ladder, and sign-on for qualifying clinicians.

Qualifications

• RN with active license
• 1+ year acute care hospital experience (preferred)
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
