Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care on a nursing unit in accordance with unit policies and procedures. You will supervise non-RN personnel and, when acting as the charge nurse, delegate and supervise unit activities to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program with an active CT RN license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Proficient in use of computer software to include electronic patient records.
• Ability to perform literature searches regarding patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care on the unit.
• Supervises non-RN personnel on the assigned unit.
• When serving as charge nurse, delegates and supervises unit activities.
• Maintains a high level of service and safe patient environment.
• Follows unit policies and promotes patient-centered care.
