Job summary

The Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care on an orthopedic unit. This role works in a full-time 12-hour shift schedule (7a-7p), with some weekends required and no call.

You will coordinate care, assess patients, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and a healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of acute care nursing, hold RN licensure, and are committed to infection control and patient safety.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in acute care required.
• RN licensure and BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process and organizational policies.
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborates with the care team to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR and code team activities.
