Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital's Orthopedic Unit is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care on a 3 x 12-hour night schedule in a full-time role. The 23-bed unit focuses on orthopedic trauma, surgery and musculoskeletal care with strong teamwork.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning and family education, with collaboration across an interprofessional team to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in orthopedic or acute care settings is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment care.
• Collaborates with interprofessional team to develop and communicate the plan of care.
• Maintains patient safety and quality standards in a 23-bed orthopedic unit.
