Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center seeks a leader to develop and oversee Orthopedic Office Radiology services across MedStar Health. You will manage daily operations, staffing, regulatory compliance, and quality services for diagnostic imaging supporting orthopedic physicians and patients.

The role requires travel to MedStar Orthopedic Offices, budget planning, vendor management, and collaboration with imaging leadership to ensure high standards and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiation science in a related field required.
• Associate's degree In Business Administration or related filed preferred.
• ARRT Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required.

Responsibilities

• Develops department goals, objectives, policies and procedures; ensures compliance with policies, regulations, and safety standards.
• Oversees imaging aspects of daily technical and patient care activities for Orthopedic offices.
• Travel to all MedStar Orthopedic Offices; plans development, regulatory, and operations for new facilities.
• Develops and manages department operating budget within approved resources.
• Participates in staffing, hiring, onboarding Radiology Techs; supports patient care to fill staffing gaps.
• Manages personnel actions, performance evaluations, and ongoing staff development.
• Coordinates with Biomedical support services, external vendors, and IT for PACS/Cerner/Rad Net workflows.
• Maintains equipment inventory and capital replacement planning; oversees vendor contracts.
