Excelsia Injury Care in West Valley City, Utah is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) with strong orthopedic and manual skills to join our patient-centered team. The PTA will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist, delivering prescribed therapies and supporting multimodal care plans.

Applicants must graduate from an APTA-accredited PTA program, hold an associate degree, and be eligible to sit for the state licensure exam.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an APTA-accredited PTA program with at least an associate's degree and be eligible for the State Board Examination.
• Must pass the licensing exam to continue practice beyond temporary licensure.
• PTA must maintain all requirements of state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist as defined by state law.
• Perform physical therapy procedures and tasks delegated by the supervising PT.
• Administer treatment with therapeutic exercises, massage, devices, and agents using air, water, electricity, sound or light.
• Make minor modifications to treatment plans within the plan of care and assist in evaluations.
• Supervising PT assesses the PTA's ability to perform tasks.
