Job summary

CentralCare Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our clinical team.

The PTA will implement prescribed ROM and therapeutic exercises, assist with patient education, and help coordinate care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Qualified candidates hold an associates degree and a CAPTE-accredited education, maintain an active PTA license, and have at least two years of PTA experience including orthopedic practice in the last two years.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• CAPTE-accredited education required.
• Active license as PTA or current APTA-certified PTA/technician.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Administer traction and instruct patients in functional activities and use of assistive devices.
• Observe and report patient responses and progress to the physical therapist.
• Fit and train patients in orthopedic braces, prostheses, and mobility devices.
• Collaborate with the physical therapy team and clinic staff to coordinate patient care.
