Job summary

Carrell Clinic, a Division of OrthoLoneStar, seeks an experienced Physician Assistant to support orthopedic physicians in Dallas. You will perform histories, exams, order tests, and assist in surgeries, delivering high-quality musculoskeletal care.

You will manage postoperative care, coordinate treatment plans, and ensure compliant documentation per Texas boards. Strong teamwork, communication, and proficiency with EMR systems like AthenaOne are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current, unrestricted Texas Physician Assistant License.
• NCCPA certification.
• Current DEA and DPS (Texas) registration for prescriptive authority, if applicable.
• BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and orthopedic assessments.
• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, EMG/NCV, bone scans, and laboratory studies.
• Formulate differential diagnoses and develop treatment plans under physician supervision.
• Independently manage follow-up visits, post-operative checks, and chronic orthopedic conditions.
• Assist the supervising orthopedic surgeon in the operating room and post-operative care.
