Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks an Orthopedic Physician Assistant to deliver comprehensive clinical services in the Orthopedic Clinic. You will conduct initial and follow-up evaluations, develop diagnosis and treatment plans, prescribe medications, and assist in surgery as needed.

The role emphasizes perioperative care, patient and family education, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a PA program accredited by ARC-PA.
• Licensed to practice as a PA in Massachusetts with NCCPA certification.
• Prior orthopedic or surgical PA experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive H&Ps and interpret labs and imaging to support diagnoses.
• Formulate orthopedic treatment plans and provide therapeutic interventions.
• Assist in surgeries and postoperative care under supervision.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; document treatment plans and orders.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and care plans.
