Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics seeks a Physician Assistant to support Dr. Freddy Achecar in general orthopaedics, joint replacement, and sports medicine across Austell, Douglasville and Vinings locations.

The role involves performing exams, ordering tests, establishing diagnoses, assisting in surgeries, and providing patient education for a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current and active licenses and certifications as PA.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Conflict management and strong organizational skills.
• Operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete physical exams and pre/post-operative evaluations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies (x-rays, MRIs, CTs, labs).
• Establish diagnoses and treatment plans; coordinate ancillary studies.
• Consult with specialists and interventional physicians as needed.
• Assist in reduction of fractures and dislocations and minor office surgeries.
• Administer injections, medications, and wound care; manage prescriptions.
• Instruct patients on medications and treatment and provide education.
• Record progress notes and transcribe orders; triage calls and provide education.
• Provide coordination of care across multiple locations and continuity of care.
