Job summary

Peachtree Orthopedics is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide advanced clinical care under supervising physicians. You will assess patients, develop diagnoses, create treatment plans, perform procedures, and coordinate care across teams to ensure excellent outcomes.

Responsibilities include pre/post-operative support, education, documentation, and collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and rehab staff. Requires PA certification and state licensure, with experience in orthopedics preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS), Master of Medical Science (MMS) or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Physician Assistant experience preferred; orthopedic, sports medicine, surgical, emergency medicine, or musculoskeletal experience preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic medicine, musculoskeletal disorders, diagnostic testing, clinical procedures, pharmacology, and evidence-based treatment practices required.
• Experience with Athena EMR, healthcare technology platforms, and electronic documentation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical exams, and treatment plans under physician supervision.
• Diagnose and manage orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic studies and labs as permitted by licensure.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with state regulations.
• Perform clinical procedures including injections, wound care, dressing changes, and casting.
• Assist with surgical planning, pre- and post-operative care, and hospital rounds.
