Job description

Responsibilities
  1. Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to trauma and general surgery patients under the supervision and responsibility of a Physician.
  2. Participates in the education, development, and growth of St. Joseph's Trauma and General Surgery Service.
  3. Supervises other physician assistants.
  4. Works closely with the administrative and clinical directors for the Trauma Service Program to ensure quality and regulatory compliance in the provision of clinical services.
  5. Collaborates with the rotating trauma resident programs to ensure proper orientation and integration into the trauma team.
  6. Assists in overseeing trauma residents during their trauma rotation.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of Orthopedic PA or NP experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Experience in general and trauma surgery.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • OR 1st Assist Experience and Therapeutic Procedures (e.g., central lines, chest tubes, suturing, I&Ds, interpretation of radiographic imaging).
