Qualifications

• Provide clinical consultation, assessment, and management to patients.
• Conduct outpatient evaluation, treatment and follow-up of surgical patients as directed by the supervising physician.
• Provide pre and post-operative and discharge education to patients and family regarding safety issues.
• Review/interpret patient imaging and lab results; communicate results to patients and provide follow-up education.
• Communicate effectively when educating patient/family regarding medical condition and hospital course.
• Document progress toward outcomes.
• Utilize the computerized order communication system for medical orders, test results and documentation.
• Maintain clear history and physical documentation and all other written reports.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Complete relevant patient paperwork such as medication prior authorizations and plan of care.
• Assist surgeon in operating room as first assist.
• Promote cooperation through teamwork.
• Other duties as needed for safe patient care.

Responsibilities
