Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for our Orthopedics – North practice in West Orange, NJ. The PA will work with physicians in operating and office settings, handling preoperative evaluation, documentation, and patient care from admission through discharge.

The position requires PA-C licensure, CDS/DEA, and BLS, with Monday–Friday days. Location includes multiple Bergen/Essex/Hudson county sites under the Barnabas Health Medical Group.

Qualifications

• PA-C licensure required to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Active CDS and DEA credentials.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Review charts preoperatively and document pertinent information.
• Collaborate with residents, fellows, and other practitioners on schedules.
• Assist physician during rounds and operative cases as needed.
• Provide postoperative instructions and discharge communications.
• Support scheduling and prioritization to maintain daily workflow.
