RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for the MG Orthopedics North team in Rahway, NJ. This full-time day shift role supports operating and office-based orthopedic care with physician collaboration and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• PA-C licensure and board-certification where applicable.

• Ability to organize and adapt in a changing orthopedic practice.
• Scheduling and prioritization to minimize delays and manage daily workload.

Responsibilities

• Physician Assistant will provide coverage with evaluation, treatment, and documentation of service for patients requiring orthopedic care in both the operating and office environment.
• Assists physician during office hours including nonop, preoperative and postoperative instructions for all orthopedic subspecialities within the practice.
• Provides dictation support and documentation of patient encounters, letters of Medical Necessity, Disability Forms, Discharge Letters and conduct patient calls/post-op calls.
• Reviews charts preoperatively and documents any pertinent information.
• Provides coverage with residents, fellows and other advanced practitioners covering provider on-call schedule.
• Liaisons between physician and outside consulting physicians regarding patient care.
• Performs assessment and reassessment of the patient according to applicable department standards and identified tools.
• Assists physician during hospital rounds with post-op patients and with research as needed.
• Participates in and contributes to orthopedic educational activities for appropriate internal and external parties.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Physician.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 800 am - 430pm

Must haves:

• PA-C Licensure
