The role involves 5x8 hour day shifts across 2-3 clinic days per week and 1-2 operating room days per week, with weekend rotations and a call rotation (3-4 weekends per year). Responsibilities include patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings, education, and collaboration with an multidisciplinary team.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Aufgaben

• Provides clinical care for patients
• Completes comprehensive patient assessments
• Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care
• Refers for specialty care when determined
• Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear
