Novant Health is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our orthopedic team working with Dr. Browning. This hybrid clinic and OR role blends outpatient care, surgical assistance, and inpatient duties at Brunswick Medical Center with clinic sessions in Supply and Leland, NC.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-focused care, and collaboration with physicians. A graduate PA program, NCCPA certification, and current DEA registration are required, with 1–3 years in a physician practice preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree, required.
• Graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a physician practice setting preferred.
• Current PA license in appropriate state, required.
• NCCPA Certification and current DEA registry, required.
• Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What We Offer

Ortho&Spine Brunswick is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing orthopedic team and work alongside Dr. Benjamin Browning, a fellowship-trained Sports Medicine Surgeon. This is an excellent opportunity for a PA who enjoys a mix of clinic and surgical responsibilities in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

This is a hybrid clinic and operating room position, offering a dynamic blend of patient care, surgical assistance, and inpatient responsibilities. The PA will work closely with Dr. Browning in both outpatient and surgical settings, serving as a key member of the orthopedic care team.

Operating Room

• 1 day per week in the OR
• Surgical block: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Location: Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center

Clinic

• 2 days per week at the main office in Supply, NC
• 1.5 days per week at our Leland, NC satellite office
• Clinic hours:
• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - Noon

What We're Looking For

• Education: Graduate Degree, required. Graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, required.
• Experience: One to three years of experience working in a physician practice setting, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
• Current PA license in appropriate state, required.
• NCCPA Certification and current DEA registry, required.
• Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
