Job summary

Novant Health in Winston-Salem is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our ambulatory care team. You will deliver high-quality patient care in a clinic setting with exposure to operating room as needed, and participate in on-call coverage at local hospitals.

The ideal candidate has NCCPA certification, an active PA license in the state, and 1–3 years of practice experience. A graduate degree is required, and a commitment to teamwork, inclusion, and patient safety aligns with our NHFDNH

Qualifications

• Graduate Degree required; NCCPA accredited PA program.
• 1–3 years of experience in a physician practice setting preferred.
• Current PA license in appropriate state; NCCPA Certification and DEA registration required.
• Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing; strong customer service and communication skills.

What We Offer

Ortho Urgent Care-OrthoNOW (Winston Salem)

Schedule is 3 x 12 hour shifts (7a-7p) during the week and every other Saturday (8a-12p) - no call or OR responsibilities

Patient care in the clinic setting with some exposure to the operating room (varies by specialty and need). Paid On-Call responsibility at local hospital systems. Productivity based bonus structure.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Graduate Degree, required. Graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, required.
• Experience:One to three years of experience working in a physician practice setting, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current PA license in appropriate state, required.
  • NCCPA Certification and current DEA registry, required.
• Additional Skills Required:Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
