Job summary

Novant Health in Winston-Salem area seeks a Physician Assistant to join our sports medicine team. You will work alongside a Sports Medicine Surgeon in clinic and operating room, Monday–Friday, with on-call responsibilities approximately 3–4 times per month.

You will deliver high-quality patient care in a collaborative setting and participate in on-call duties at local hospitals, contributing to a culture of safety, inclusion and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required; NCCPA-accredited PA program.
• One to three years in a physician practice preferred.
• Current PA license and NCCPA certification; DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient experiences in clinic and OR exposure as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and team to provide quality care.
• Support on-call duties and hospital coverage.

What We Offer

Patient care in the clinic setting with some exposure to the operating room (varies by specialty and need). Paid On-Call responsibility at local hospital systems. Productivity based bonus structure.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Graduate Degree, required. Graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, required.
• Experience:One to three years of experience working in a physician practice setting, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current PA license in appropriate state, required.
  • NCCPA Certification and current DEA registry, required.
• Additional Skills Required:Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills and communication skills.
