Cayuga Health in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Part-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapy Resident to provide care at the Cayuga Wellness Center and other local sites. The position has a 30-hour workweek with shift patterns 7a-6p (M-Th) and 7a-4p (F), onsite with some local travel up to 0-10% as needed.

Requirements include a Doctorate of Physical Therapy, current NYS PT license or eligibility, CPR certification, and RF-PTCAS application.

Qualifikationen

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current NYS Physical Therapy license or is eligible.
• Current CPR Certification.
• New graduates accepted via RF-PTCAS and recommended by program director or designate.

Aufgaben

• Demonstrates competency and professionalism in conducting a clinical examination, establishing a physical therapy diagnosis and developing a plan of care to address person-centered goals.
• Demonstrates safe and effective implementation of therapeutic interventions including but not limited to therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, patient education and modalities
• Demonstrates effective documentation of all clinical encounters
• Demonstrate appropriate supervision of Physical Therapist Assistants, physical therapy students and departmental volunteers
• Attends all assigned educational opportunities and passes written, practical and live patient examinations with a grade of ≥80%
• Demonstrates effective teaching in laboratory and clinical settings
