Job summary

The Physical Therapist position at LiveWell Homecare Agency provides medically prescribed therapy to relieve pain, restore function, and prevent disability resulting from disease or injury. You will assess patients, document progress, and tailor treatment plans.

Responsibilities include guiding exercises, operating therapy modalities, supervising staff or volunteers as needed, and ensuring safe, compliant care in home settings. Doctorate in PT or PT license required; BLS within 90 days preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) after 2015 or licensed Physical Therapist.
• Must hold or obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
• Pelvic health certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct therapy programs using physical means (exercise, massage, manual therapy, heat, water, light, electricity).
• Perform diagnostic and functional tests on muscles, nerves, and joints; document patient progress.
• Guide patients in active and passive exercises, gait training, and functional training.
• Supervise assistants, aides, or volunteers as needed; conduct staff and student training in physical therapy techniques.
