Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts is seeking an Orthopaedic NP/PA to join a growing joint replacement program. The role supports two surgeons, doing first assists in the OR and clinic visits, with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts and no nights, weekends, or on-call requirements.

You will help build the program from the ground up at New England Baptist Hospital and BID Needham. You’ll collaborate closely with surgeons on treatment plans, manage postoperative care, and provide patient

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Nursing; Master's degree preferred.
• License: Nursing License and Basic Life Support certification.
• MA Board authorization to practice as an APRN NRSG and prescriptive authority.
• Valid prescriptive authority and DEA registration are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs history and physical examinations, formulates care plans, orders and interprets tests, and educates patients and families.
• Educates staff and serves as a clinical resource through consultations and seminars.
• Coordinates patient care across nursing staff and consult services to ensure safe, effective and timely care.
• Document encounters clearly and timely; provide direct patient care and management for opioid patients.
