Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System seeks an Athletic Trainer to support orthopedic outpatient care across campuses including Temple Hospital, Jeanes Campus, and Fort Washington. You will assist physicians and staff, manage patient flow, and prepare charts for visits and tests.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Athletic Training, ATC certification, and BLS, with 2 years of orthopedic healthcare experience. Travel to facilities is required as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program required.
• Master's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program preferred.
• 2 years of orthopedic experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) required.
• PA Athletic Trainer license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, athletic trainers, orthopedic surgeons, APPs and staff with patient care in outpatient offices/clinics.
• Follow patient from arrival to departure and ensure needs are met to support experience.
• Prepare charts for visits and testing approvals.
• Assist in procedure/surgery scheduling and regulatory readiness.
• Handle inventory/stocking and respond to patient phone calls as assigned.

Job description

Assists physicians, other athletic trainers, orthopedic surgeons, APPs and supportive staff with patient care in the Orthopedic Surgery outpatient offices and clinics. Follows patient from arrival to departure. Ensures patient and physician needs met to support patient experience. Prepares charts for visits, testing approvals. Assists in procedure / surgery scheduling, contributes to clinical regulatory readiness, inventory/stocking, patient phone call responses, other duties as assigned including of subordinate positions.

Travel is required for this position- Temple Hospital, Jeanes Campus, Fort Washington Practice

Education

Bachelor's Degree Athletic Training accredited program Required

Experience

2 years of orthopedic experience in a healthcare setting Required
