Job summary

SPOSC seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our high-volume ambulatory surgery center supporting orthopaedic surgeries. You will prepare sterile fields, anticipate surgeon needs, and maintain efficient intraoperative support across total joints, arthroscopy, and spine cases.

Expect to uphold infection control standards, participate in time-outs, and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, RNs, and sterile processing staff to ensure on-time case starts and safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current CST certification required.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for orthopedic procedures and ensure sterile field.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments and supplies efficiently.
• Maintain infection prevention protocols and universal precautions.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, RNs, and sterile processing staff.
• Assist with room turnover and inventory management.
